Who We Are
The First Universalist Society of Franklin's Interweave Chapter supports the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Unitarian Universalist community including their friends, families and allies. It is a local chapter of Interweave Continental.
Our Mission Statement:
Our mission is to work together to facilitate the celebration of the culture and lives of the lesbian, gay, straight, bisexual, transgendered members and their families in our community. We welcome and encourage all to join; we are gay and straight together.
Our Meetings
The Interweave Chapter meets on the second Thursday of each month during the church year (September through June) at the FUSF Meetinghouse

On behalf of all gay people I want to thank the homophobes of the world who are afraid of there own sexuality , if it were not for your timeless pursuit of pre judging a people who have done nothing to you but offend your own personal moral stance we would not be striving the way we are now, lets not forget that throughout history it was ok in some parts to be treated like less than the lowest animal remember Christianity was not a favored religion now it is , but unfortunately throughout the generations you have all lost your way and forgot about the core of what it was suppose to be about which was humanity , caring for each other now everyone thinks their god is the one and true god instead of coming together and acknowledging a higher meaning
Women fought and are still fighting, blacks fought against the whites, the Jewish people against the Germans and all in the name of equality so as we grow stronger the more you oppress our existence the pride we feel will not be given up .
When a problem arises and you refuse to think about its presence it keeps coming up funny how the more fanatical you are about your sexual identity the more your children rebound and grow to be gay , and yet most children who are raised by gay parents turn out to heterosexuals why because it was not an issue to begin with ,most of you believe gays are not born but you all are the reason it succeeds as you continue to spread your seeds of hatred in the name of whichever god you believe in
I have many gay friends who have never been with the opposite gender but you ask them if they ever thought about the opposite sex they would say yes but you have made it so hard on us that the process of finding ones sexual identity is no longer worth the option of going over it again ,its wrong you say , cant have a rational conversation about the attraction so when we finally emerge to our own conclusions of what in essence is a minor issue that you have made major until it manifest itself and becomes who that person is ‘ GAY’
So once again I reiterate than k you so keep opposing us you may win a few major battles here and there don’t worry its expected, it is keeping us an option in the mind nothing worth fighting for comes easy and as the earth evolves and you stay rigid in your belief that you are right the more we will become the majority because its not just one race of people who are homosexuals its Blacks , Whites, Asians , Hispanics ,Indians all bonding over one thing a love for their own sex ,
Thankfully we have developed enough as humans that the need for procreation is no longer the top priority there’s artificial insemination now , no need for copulating between man and woman unless that’s your thing everything points to our success the temptation of the forbidden fruit is always sweeter .
